Earning its reputation as one of the best value work-horse reels in the industry, Daiwa's new BG SW honors and improves upon the foundation of its predecessor. The 26 BG SW exhibits a modernized design complimented by a new gasket-sealed waterproof aluminum frame and body cover- maintaining the strength and structural rigidity anglers need to target serious gamefish. A massive improvement is found within the newly integrated POWERDRIVE DESIGN components.
Starting with the POWERDRIVE ENGINE, Daiwa's OVERSIZED POWER DIGIGEAR gives anglers the power to apply maximum pressure with unwavering confidence. The POWERDRIVE ROTOR, serves flawless rotation with its structurally reinforced composite construction so anglers can apply fish-stopping drag pressures without any flexing at the line-roller. The drag system has also received an upgrade in the form of Daiwa's latest ATD TOUGH carbon drags that are engineered to apply sustained pressure while remaining smooth.
The gasket lined braid-ready spool offers secure attachment for braid line - eliminating the need for a monofilament backing. Finished with an upgraded soft-touch egg-shape handle knob to give anglers better grip and comfort during long battles, the new BG SW hosts the newest technology while providing improved performance and the same reliability that anglers have come to love from Daiwa's BG series.
Features:
- ALUMINIUM BODY - Lightweight and incredibly strong, aluminium allows strength and weightlessness to be achieved without the cost and corrosion issues of other metals.
- ATD DRAG - Daiwa's Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag start up. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia and combined with the structural changes of the ATD Drag System results in a smoother drag from the initial hook up.
- MACHINED ALUMINUM HANDLE - Ergonomically correct and screws easily into the body.
